Rhys Collins Worimi, currently working and living on Bunurong Country in Victoria. While working full time as Traditional Owner Relationships Manager at Melbourne Water, and with strong family commitments, Rhys also volunteers time on the Board of Surfing Victoria, and was formerly a founding Director of the Firesticks Alliance Indigenous Corporation. Rhys has 25 years’ experience as a First Peoples facilitator in the management of Country including land, water and fire, and has worked as a ranger, specialised in water quality monitoring and community education, estuary and coastal management. Formal training pathway includes combined BA/BSc in Geology and Geography, Grad Dip in Secondary Education, Grad Cert in Waterway Management and a Cert IV in Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management.
